I personally don't interview my decks, but I will go through the cards to Make sure none are missing See which cards are out of order
When a card is out of place, I take special note of that card - it tells me a special message about the deck that it can only tell me at that moment (For example, when I got Shadowscapes the King of Pentacles was out of place and it told me a lot about what to expect from the deck itself and what kind of personality the deck would have).
Sadly for me, most decks are all properly in order...But at least I've never had a missing card? That in itself could also be a kind of message
Oooh, this is an interesting concept. I've never interviewed a deck, but I wonder if there's a spread (or spreads) designed to help get to know the deck better, as in which cards may he s struggle, should I even use the deck to read (some I just collect)... Anyone use a spread for that purpose?
Seems it is been a while since the last post but maybe it comes in handy for someone else as well. This is how i interview my decks when they are new to me. Basic intention is to build from the card number 1 with the most important characteristic. Expanding further in Strength and Limitation. Further building on the foundation of characteristic and strength, to see what the deck has in store for me.

wildrosespeonies: Wow. I just discovered a tarot maker on kickstarter who blantantly stole another tarot maker's art. (The art is the art back of Sinking Wasteland.) I have let SW creator know. But wow! Can't believe that.

wildrosespeonies: The artist contacted the KS tarot card maker and they replaced the image, but I'm pretty sure the new image is stolen too. It looks familiar, but I don't recognize where the image come from.

TeaAndTarot: Where would be the best place to start a deck study thread? The Wooden Tarot is on its way and I’d like to post my thoughts here for posterity.

wildrosespeonies: TeaAndTarot. Probably the Tarot Deck Discussion would be the best place, as you are just studying one specific deck. But make sure to check the whole thread as there might already be a Wooden Tarot thread already.
