I just registered a couple of days ago and wanted to introduce myself before diving deeper... I am a female tarot student from Germany, using the tarot mainly for self reflection. Having spent a good while looking at so many different decks, I have found a couple that work well for showing me light and shadow. My latest acquisition is the Zillich tarot in a tin, which I love using. I am not aspiring to become a serious collector – I just look for the tools that are best suited for the job at hand.
I'll be all over the card meanings section, anything on tarot history and the mythical side of things – looking forward to the exchange with y'all.
welcome back to you. It seems the forums are rather silent here. So let me welcome you in return
Which Decks do you use for light/shadow? I'm currently mainly using Wildwood for earthy topics but even so i love the theme and artwork, i dislike the animals as court cards somewhat. Anyway i haven't found anything that suits me better for this stuff. For spiritual questions i alway rely on Osho Zen Tarot, it never let me down but it seems fairly unfit for many things outside of spiritual and ascension stuff.
yes, not much going on here, I come here infrequently thanks for your welcome message! I love the Wildwood too and it's becoming my main study deck for 2020. Personally, I LOVE the animal court cards! I also have a DIY printed version of the Greenwood, and it has mostly the same animals, but in different placements – have to say, I like the Wildwood better in this respect. For light hearted readings I love the Lightseer's Tarot by Chris-Anne. The Osho Zen isn't for me – my dislike for Bhagwan/Osho is too strong to give money to their organization. Many people love it though and that's great
I didn't knew about the Lightseer Tarot and i must admit i'm somewhat flashed by the gorgeous Artwork. Wow what a beautiful Deck! Regarding the Osho, yes it is pretty doubtful what he was and what people made of it. However he way for sure not stupid and had a lot of wisdom to share, the Tarot seems to reflect that in its different approach to things. I guess that is why i like it very much.
Not much going on here is nicely said, seems the forum is way to fragmented in subboards for the amount of traffic happening here. It looks like a forums partition table, capable of withstanding thousands of daily posts, but merely anything seems to happen here. Probably it would be benefical to reduce the amount of boards by ~80-90% to do some "reanimation" to the remaining community, but as long as the visiting and residing people like how it is ... why should it concern me. So maybe i check back few times a year but i moved on to Tarot, Tea & Me, that seems to be more alive and welcoming to new visitors.

wildrosespeonies: Wow. I just discovered a tarot maker on kickstarter who blantantly stole another tarot maker's art. (The art is the art back of Sinking Wasteland.) I have let SW creator know. But wow! Can't believe that.

wildrosespeonies: The artist contacted the KS tarot card maker and they replaced the image, but I'm pretty sure the new image is stolen too. It looks familiar, but I don't recognize where the image come from.

TeaAndTarot: Where would be the best place to start a deck study thread? The Wooden Tarot is on its way and I’d like to post my thoughts here for posterity.

wildrosespeonies: TeaAndTarot. Probably the Tarot Deck Discussion would be the best place, as you are just studying one specific deck. But make sure to check the whole thread as there might already be a Wooden Tarot thread already.

aeon418: Seeing as this place is essentially a "zombie forum", spammer-clogged threads are the way of the future I'm afraid.
