I've learned from the website class about traditional witchcraft,
and the witch at the website suggestion to choose a basic, traditional design,
which means the symbolism that been used must be logical and be an effective aid in interpreting the aspects of every individual card,
each symbol represents one aspect of that card's interpreting.
and suggestion about the rider-waite decks.
But after I review the traditional rider-waite decks on the network, I found that the symbols on these decks can't reach the suggestions that someone gave me.
and I feel nothing when I look at the traditional rider-waite decks.
I can't feel like that seems the card want to tell me something or other feelings like warm, light, dark, shadow.
so, these make me confused, how can I found decks that I've never seen??
I've found a "Deviant Moon Tarot" before, It gives me the feeling like the attack, unfamiliar, powerful, a little bit like tense, as the shadow at a place that full of sunshine, and "hungry" which means the feeling like want to swallow it down.
is this kind of feeling good for me to choose as a begin??
Can anyone here give suggestions about which decks can reach the suggestions that witch gives me, and makes me feel warm and light??
You did mention Deviant Moon giving you a strong reaction. Did you still like using the deck or did it make you uncomfortable like it was repelling you?
Because not every deck has to be bright and sunshiny. My Sinking Wasteland Tarot is on the morbid side, but is useful to have as it reminds me not all growth will be easy. Sometimes I will stumble and fall painfully before. If you disliked Deviant Moon, then I would suggest another deck, but if you still felt like you connected with it on some level that will aid you as a witch, you should keep it.
But, you can get decks for as many moods as you want. The easiest way is just to google. If you have an instagram or tumblr, many people post their deck readings there and the decks they use. So you can see more of the pictures.
"Major arcana cards" part of "The Universal Rider Waite" tarot deck. This deck best for beginners, the hidden symbols and images really help to understand the true meaning of the card. If you want to know more about tarot card reading, Ask me.

wildrosespeonies: If you need a Robb Stark fill, with a happier outcome, I rec "Medici Masters of Florence" on netflix, with "Walder Frey" even making a cameo to marry off his daughter to poor Cosimo. (I KID YOU NOT!) Still not over Lena being a tarot reader though.

wildrosespeonies: Today I completed my studies of the 22 major arcana. (It has taken me 2 and half years before I slack.) Now onto the minors! I love as I get more decks putting the pictures by each other to see how they compare/contrast.

HOLMES: what did you use,, the living the tarot book , was it a course or a self goal ?
Apr 25, 2019 1:11:40 GMT
wildrosespeonies: Self goal. I don't have time to sign up for actual card studies class even though I know many places offer them online. I use the guidebooks that come with the deck(s) for reference when I can't recall a card.

wildrosespeonies: Also, I think guidebooks are underrated. They can put more detail into the illustrations and some of them are pure poetry. (Mesquite and Pagan Otherworlds being my favorite guidebooks for that reason -- language is amazingly used)

HOLMES: a book written for the deck can be excellent if it adds , the tarot of the elves talked about the story behind the minors, one was really sad.. the hudes guidebook , and robin wood was awesome .

wildrosespeonies: Ooh, Marigold Tarot's print guidebook is finally coming along. I think I'm gonna pass on the pouch though. That box is very sturdy.
