Just curious. What do you usually read about? Is it love life, career, daily life, or anything?
I usually read about myself, about general advice etc. Sometimes, I read about my old friends situations or conditions (not as sitters. I just curious about what are they doing right now. I know that phone them would be much easier ).
For myself it's usually about my depression and related things. I use it as a form of "self therapy" to get better understanding.
For friends? Love life and general stuff. Sometimes they want blind readings and then they just look at me in horror....as if I've just told them everything they didn't want to hear (usually the friends of my one friend and I don't know these people anyway but I definitely leave an impression.....)
I usually read for myself about romance and I ask my decks for advice.
I have found that if I read about something that is too far into the future ie usually more than 3 months then I find it difficult to understand. So, now I try to focus on only doing future readings of no more than a couple of weeks ahead. That way I usually already get a feel of a situation.

For myself, I read mostly about general and overall things...I just basically want to know what I should focus on or know what influences are swirling around to know what to be aware of at that given time.
For others, mostly love inquires. I also do quite a bit of work related readings but love, by far, is my #1 area that people always want a reading.
Software development and inorganic and organic chemistry. Tarot related, I consider myself a hermeticist at heart so anything that happens to catch my interest in these practices at any given time. I'm not a person that subscribes to the notion that Hard science is necessarily in competition or conflict with Hermeitc science. I'd be fired for this opinion for sure in the real word, even tough my background is very thoroughly rooted in the Hard sciences. For sure some elements of the middle-ages are still alive and well in 2018, although it's not the Church carrying out the prosecutions anymore.
Be sure to listen to your intuition. If an answer rings out of tune for you, make note of it. If the reader seems bent on forcing an idea upon you, make a note of that, too. It’s your time and it needs to be completely about you. Be honest. Don’t mince words and don’t be afraid to ask questions that may normally embarrass you. It’s your time and if the reader is a skilled practitioner, no question is off limits. Think carefully about what you want to know

wildrosespeonies: Wow. I just discovered a tarot maker on kickstarter who blantantly stole another tarot maker's art. (The art is the art back of Sinking Wasteland.) I have let SW creator know. But wow! Can't believe that.

wildrosespeonies: The artist contacted the KS tarot card maker and they replaced the image, but I'm pretty sure the new image is stolen too. It looks familiar, but I don't recognize where the image come from.

auroralara: forum.tarotsphere.net The “force” behind tarot reading is always down to the reader. The “reader” being the mechanism by which tarot is interpreted is inevitably a human being or more. Humans being the creators of symbols and symbolism such as that

TeaAndTarot: Where would be the best place to start a deck study thread? The Wooden Tarot is on its way and I’d like to post my thoughts here for posterity.

wildrosespeonies: TeaAndTarot. Probably the Tarot Deck Discussion would be the best place, as you are just studying one specific deck. But make sure to check the whole thread as there might already be a Wooden Tarot thread already.
